The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services level designed for SRD intervention activities a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
